“Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst”. Henri Cartier Bresson.
While downloading photographs from a recent trip to West Virginia I realized that I had achieved the landmark 10,000 photographs, which, per Henri’s quote, suggests that it’s all plain sailing from here on. If I were to believe Henri, (and who could argue with the Master), every photograph I take from this point forward must be good. Alas, after looking at image 10,001, 1002, 1003, etc. etc. I have to say that Henri must have had a Chardonay too many when he came up with that little ditty. They don’t look any different from image 7,000, 8,000 or, for that matter 9,000.
The image that accompanies this post was made from photograph 9,999.
