Looking and Seeing

Looking and Seeing

Our eyes are part of a system that processes visual detail. They allow us to look at whatever is in front of us and send that information to our brain, where it is analyzed by interpreting life experiences residing in our heart. Life experiences manifest themselves in feelings and understanding those feelings is key to seeing. Since our life experiences are different, we each interpret what we are looking at in different ways. Imagine then the possibilities if we can use the camera as an extension of our heart rather than an extension of the eye. One possibility is that we become one with our subject and create images that are a reflection of our being.
